An International Master's Degree Program for Students around the World
Students and professionals with computing science and engineering backgrounds converged on the University of Alberta campus in the fall of 2004 for the inaugural sessions of MINT – the Master of Science of Internetworking accredited graduate degree program.
This innovative program, offered by one of the top three Canadian universities, has attracted students from across Canada as well as Asia. The intensive weekend format allows students to continue full- or part-time employment commitments while pursuing a graduate education.
MINT equips graduates with the technical knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and industry experience required to develop architectures for complex network implementations and lead large-scale Internet project teams.
MINT builds the leaders and networks of tomorrow.
MINT – A Two-Year Professional Program Focused on Internetworking Leadership Training
With an extensive commitment to industry-relevant curriculum and partnerships, industry can expect the MINT program to deliver graduates trained with specialized Internetworking leadership skills. For MINT graduates, that means immediate employment opportunities and IT career advancement. Whether it's network design and development, Internetworking management and administration, or implementation, a MINT Master's degree can take you wherever you want to go.
MINT graduates can expect the Master's designation to equal two to four years of employment experience with a commensurate salary increase for any standard entry-level position. But even more substantial salary increases can be expected if graduates are already working within the field, depending on their current position. This Master's degree in Internetworking can also be the difference in getting hired into a vendor role versus remaining on the end-user side.
